A red blood cell migrates in a 3D slit Poiseuille flow
- The length and the depth of the channel are 2H microns and its height is H microns with H=5 R where R
is the radius of a sphere having the specified surface area of the RBC.
- The density of fluid inside and outside of the membrane is 1.
- The viscosity of the fluid inside and outside of the membrane is 0.012.
- The Reynolds number is 0.06.
The mass center of RBC migrates toward the central region between two parallel planes and stay there with small up and down oscillation once it reaches there. Its shape is changing from the initial biconcave shape to a slippery shape.
