- Any new graduate student should take the Placement Exam before the fall or spring semester begins.
- The Placement Exam is a two hour long, closed-book exam. It covers topics in Real Analysis and in Advanced Linear Algebra.
- The schedule for the Placement Exam for Fall 2009 is on August 19, Wednesday, 9:00-11:00 am at the Room 347, PGH..
- If a student has weak performance in the exam, the student will be informed by the DGS (Director of Graduate Studies), and has to take one, or more courses to improve his/her math background.
