Painless reconstruction from magnitudes of frame coefficients
March 7, 2008; PGH 646
Abstract
This talk is concerned with fast algorithms for signal reconstruction
from magnitudes of frame coefficients, which is important to
several areas of signal communications, for example fiber-optical
and wireless transmissions, or quantum communications.
The fast algorithms discussed here are associated
with projective 2-designs in finite-dimensional real or complex Hilbert spaces.
Examples of such projective 2-designs arise from equiangular tight frames
and mutually unbiased bases.
