Numerical Methods for Ordinary Differential Equations

Papers : [here] ,   Talks : [here]
  • Numerical resolution of differential-algebraic equations, modeling the mass transfer between particles and bulk gas phase in organic atmospheric aerosol particles.
  • Numerical methods for event detections, constraints activation/deactivation in optimization-constrained systems of ODEs. Coupling of numerical methods for ODes with optimization methods such as interior-point methods and active sets methods.
  • Numerical methods for systems of differential-algebraic equations. Theoretical investigations of systesm and DAEs when the underlying structure comes from an optimization problem.

  • Numerical linear algebra techniques for resolution of large structured systems of DAEs, when modeling a large population of aerosols particles. Development of decomposition techniques in order to use the structure of wekaly coupling between subsystems.
  • Decomposition methods and reduction techniques for the decoupling of a population of such subsystems into fast and slow subsystems.

  • Time splitting algorithms for chemical kinetics problems arising in atmospheric sciences.
