- PI Canic awarded 2005 Best Women in Technology (Houston Chapter) Award
for the work in the area of blood flow modeling and simulation related to the NIGMS award.
- PI Canic received the US Congressional Recognition acknowledging
the 2005 Best Women in Technology award.
- co-PI Glowinski received SIAM 2004 Von Karman Prize largely due to his
work on incompressible
viscous flow, particularly on particulate flow whose results have been
used in the NIGMS grant research.
- co-PI Glowinski was elected as Member of the French National Academy of Sciences in 2005.
- 2004: Glowinski and Canic were invited by the French National Academy of Sciences to presented a lecture at the Workshop on Fluid-Structure Interaction organized
by the French National Academy of Sciences, related to the research supported by the NIGMS grant.
