Research Interests

My research areas are ergodic theory, dynamical systems, probability theory and applications. I am Editor-in-Chief with Peter Ashwin  of the journal Dynamical Systems   and a member of the EPSRC Mathematics College.

Employment History

I held permanent positions at UMIST (now University of Manchester) (1996-99)  and the University of Surrey,(1999-2003) before moving to the University of Houston in 2004. I held temporary positions at University of Houston (1992-1994),   the   University of Warwick (1994-1995)   and   New Mexico State University   (August 1995- 1996).  I have held a Leverhulme Trust Research Fellowship   (2002-2003).

Workshop on Probabilistic Limit Laws in Dynamical Systems

I co-organized a workshop on probabilistic ideas in dynamics held in Edinburgh from June 13th to June 17th, 2005 at the Maxwell Institute.
