Abstract:
In this talk, we present a new algebraic multigrid
preconditioner for strongly anisotropic diffusion
problems. We analyze two test cases, develop
coarsening algorithms, and show numerical
results. The essential feature of our preconditioner
is that the condition number of the preconditioned
problem is independent of the mesh step size and equation coefficients.
