Abstract:
Constructing preconditioners for the diffusion equation in highly
heterogeneous media is a complex task. In this presentation, we will show one
approach to construct a multilevel preconditioner for such media.
The equation is discretized using the finite volume method. The
constructed preconditioner is spectrally equivalent to the original
matrix. Numerical results will be presented.
