Research Experience:
Graduate Research Assistant, University of Houston Dept. of
Mathematics (Jan. 2007 - Present)
I am working with Dr. Krešimir Josić on problems in mathematical
neuroscience.
Undergraduate Research Assistant, University of Houston Dept. of
Mathematics (April - Nov. 2006)
I worked with Dr. Krešimir Josić on stability in
linear, non-autonomous differential equations. We published a paper on our results in SIAM Review.
Undergraduate Research Assistant, Rice University Programming Languages Team (January 2004 - January
2005)
I worked on the MetaOCaml project under Dr. Walid Taha. I helped to develop a staged interpreter for the
Logo programming language using MetaOCaml. We presented our
results at the annual MetaOCaml workshop at OOPSLA '04.
Teaching Experience:
Graduate Teaching Assistant, Univ. of Houston Dept. of Mathematics (Spring 2007 - Present)
Each semester I teach a Calculus recitation section or I grade papers for a junior
or senior level course. I also tutor in the department's free tutoring
center.
Teaching Assistant, Univ. of Houston Dept. of Mathematics (Fall
2005)
I was an undergraduate teaching assistant for a Discovery Method Calculus course with Dr. Gordon Johnson.
Tutor, Univ. of Houston Dept. of Mathematics (Spring
2005)
I worked as a tutor for the department's free tutoring center.
Tutor, Kaplan Inc. (August 2001 - January 2005)
I worked as a part-time SAT math tutor for Kaplan Premier, Kaplan's
one-on-one tutoring division. I tutored for the math sections of the
SAT, SAT II, and GRE tests. I also trained new tutors.
