  • Prerequisite Math 5333 or 3333, or consent of instructor.
  • Text Introduction to complex analysis , Juniro Noguchi, AMS (Translations of mathematical monographs, Volume 168).
  • Grading
    • Homework: 100 points,
    • Exam 1 (September 26): 100 points,
    • Exam 2 (Octomber 31): 100 points,
    • Exam 3 (December 5): 100 points.
    • Total score=Homework + 3 Exams = 100+100+100+100=400.
  • Homework Weekly homework assigned on each Friday and turn it in next Friday (by the midnight). One of the lowest scores will be dropped. The solution will be posted.

    Submit homework through Blackboard Vista. Homework must be either a PDF file, or a file of MicroSoft Word 2003 or lower format. In case use MicroSoft Word 2007 format (i.e., .docx), after finishing your work, please save it (or load the homework again and save it) with the Word 2003 format (i.e., .doc) instead.

  • Exams Three exams. Open books and notes. There are no makeups for exams. Each exam is on Saturday 1:00 - 3:00 pm, submitted through Blackboard Vista.
  • Teaching On-line course is taught through Blackboard Vista, visit http://www.uh.edu/webct/ for information on obtaining ID and password. I shall post my lecture notes, as PDF files, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
