- Exam 3 (August 11, Monday, 8:40-9:50 am, SEC 102): 100 points,
- Final exam (August 13, Wednesday, 8:00 am-11:00 am, SEC 102): 200 points.
Total score = Homework + 2 Exams + Final = 100+100+100+200 = 500.

Online Text You will need to register at CASA, the site explains how to connect
to the on-line textbook. Your registration in the course
provides on-line access to Chapters 1 - 11 and to the answers for the odd-numbered problems in the Exercise Sets. The online text is in "pdf" format,
suitable for printing.
Practice After each section is covered in the lecture and
in the recitation session, you should try to do
all
exercise problems (see the Departmental Homework Assignments Math 1432) for practice.
Daily Quiz Daily in-class quiz (one problem) will be given at my regular class (prepare your own paper).
Homework
Almost every day, your TA will assign some homework problems from the Departmental
Homework Assignment list. The homework will be collected following TA's instruction.
Some of these problems will be graded.
Exams and final exam Three exams and one final exam in the classroom SEC 102.
Closed any text book, notes and homework. Each exam is about 1 hour and the final exam is
about 3 hours. Calculator is not allowed (the problems in the exams will involve only simple numbers). The lowest exam score will be dropped. Absolutely no make-up
exam. You cannot skip or reschedule the final exam.
When you hand in your exam, you should show your Student I.D.
Help
You can ask me questions during the break time in each lecture. You can get help in your TA's office
hours. You can also get help from CASA at Room 222 Garrison.
