Summary of MENTOR problem-solving session

We discussed some of the 1996 Putnam problems; see
http://kskedlaya.org/putnam-archive/ for Putnam
problems and their solutions.
In particular, we focused on:
- A1 (an optimization problem)
- A6 (a problem inspired by dynamical systems)
- B2 (one proof of this inequality makes use of Riemann sums)
