About me

I am a fifth year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Houston. For the last few years, I have worked on understanding the interplay between correlated activity and synaptic plasticity in neural networks under the advice of Dr. Krešimir Josić. I am also interested in applying and developing neuro-inspired approaches, such as those in Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning, to tackle interesting problems in computer vision, behavior, and learning.

During my time at UH, I have served our UH AMS Graduate Chapter in several positions (Secretary, Treasurer, and President). Our chapter sponsors and organizes a number of social and professional activities where graduate students can learn and develop crucial skills for a successful career in math.
