This document was last modified on February 7, 1994.

	Welcome to the comp.sys.amiga.reviews archives at math.uh.edu!  In
these archives, you will find several hundred reviews of products related to
the Commodore Amiga computer, written by volunteers around the world.

	These archives are maintained by Daniel Barrett, the moderator of
the USENET newsgroup comp.sys.amiga.reviews.  (See addresses at the bottom
of this file.)  The archives were reorganized in November 1993, so things
may look a little different if you have used them before.

	Every directory in these archives contains a file called "00-README"
which explains the contents of that directory.  (Note that this filename
begins with two ZEROES, not the capital letter 'O'.  This is done so this
filename is always the first one displayed in any directory.)

	This main directory contains:

	00-README	This file.
	README		A copy of the 00-README file.

	Index		An index of all reviewed products and
			administrative documents.

	hardware	Directory containing hardware reviews.
	software	Directory containing software reviews.
	other-reviews	Directory containing other reviews (books, shows,
			vendors, etc.).

	all		A directory containing copies of ALL reviews from the
			hardware, software, and other-reviews directories.
			If you know the names of all the review files you
			want, you can download them conveniently from this
			directory instead of searching through the
			"hardware", "software" and "other-reviews"
			directories.

	doc		Directory containing administrative documents, such
			as the "Introduction" article, review writer
			guidelines, group charter, etc.
	new		Directory containing lists of new files this month.
	priv		Private directory.

	reviews.tar.gz	A single, compressed file containing the entire
			review archive, minus the "new", "priv", and "all"
			directories.  This file is in UNIX tar format,
			compressed with GNU Zip.  It is primarily for Fred
			Fish and others who wish to download the entire
			archive from time to time.  This file is updated
			once per day.

			To unarchive this file, "cd" to the destination
			directory and type:

				gunzip reviews.tar.gz | tar xvf -

	All files are plain text with no compression.

	IMPORTANT:  Please remember that the review archives began long ago,
so a review might not represent the current version or state of the
product.  It is even possible that the product may not be available any more.
So PLEASE look at the REVIEW DATE, and the PRODUCT VERSION NUMBER, to see
how current the review is.

of the newsgroup.

	Submit all reviews to:

		amiga-reviews-submissions@math.uh.edu

Correspondence with the moderator about the newsgroup or these archives
should be sent to:

		amiga-reviews@math.uh.edu

	If you have problems contacting math.uh.edu by ftp, and this problem
is NOT specific to the Amiga review archives, send mail to ftp@math.uh.edu.
