A Discussion on Graduate School and Ph.D. programs in Mathematics
April 18, 2019
5:30pm PGH 646
Abstract
|
|
Are you an undergraduate thinking about getting a Ph.D. in
mathematics? Do you want to know more about what earning a Ph.D.
entails or what steps you should be taking now to prepare yourself? In
this meeting of the undergraduate colloquium, we are going to answer
questions, talk with you about topics of your choice, and tell you
about resources that are available to assist you in pursuing a Ph.D.
in mathematics. We would like the meeting to be interactive and give
you an opportunity to talk and ask questions, so please come with
ideas for topics or issues that you would like to discuss.
Snacks will be served.
