Title: On Pure Ternary Exponential Diophantine Equations

Speaker: Huilin Zhu, Xiamen University, China

Abstract: In this talk, we give a survey about pure ternary exponential Diophantine equations and some developments in results as well as in tools. These tools include Bakers method, the Bilu-Hanrot-Voutier Theorem about the existence of primitive divisors of Lucas numbers and Lehmer numbers, algebraic number theory methods, and others. We also present some results that we proved and plan to further improve in this area.

Title: Bergman-Einstein metrics on strongly pseudoconvex domains in a complex space

Speaker: Xiaojun Huang, Rutgers University

Abstract: I will give a proof of S.Y.~Cheng's conjecture that a bounded strongly pseudoconvex domain in C^n has its Bergman metric Einstein if and only if it is holomorphically equivalent to the Ball.
