Renewal theory plays an important role in probability theory. More recently, operator renewal theory has played an analogous role in ergodic theory of maps that preserve a finite measure or an infinite measure.

In this talk we present an operator renewal equation for flows and demonstrate its utility in the infinite measure case. (It should be equally fruitful in the finite measure case, but that is work in progress.) This is joint work with Dalia Terhesiu.
