Centralizers in the Group of Interval Exchange Transformations

Abstract
In this talk, we will explore some properties of the group of
interval exchange transformations defined on the unit interval. In
particular, we will explain why a typical interval exchange transformation
does not commute with any other interval exchanges except for its
iterates.
