First Moment of Distances Between Centres of Ford Spheres

Abstract

In their 2010 paper, Chaubey et al. investigate a problem on the distribution of Ford circles. Specifically, they take circles with centre lying above a given horizontal line and consider moments of distances between these centres. We extend this problem to Ford spheres, including a new method for generating these sphere and introducing a notion of "consecutive" for them, leading to an estimate for the first moment in this case.
