Invariant Manifolds and Synchronization of Coupled Dynamical Systems

This brief paper describes how the theory of normally hyperbolic invariant
manifold can be naturally applied to the study of chaotic synchronization.
It is also proved that, under appropriate conditions, unidirectional
and bidirectional couplings are equivalent. (Appeared in Physical Review Letters)
